Hemp and Ayurveda
Hemp has an age-old association with Ayurveda. It finds mention in some of the oldest texts of India like Vedas, Brihadaranyaka and Upanishad. Atharva Veda classifies it as one of the five most sacred plants on Earth.
Indian Hemp, traditionally referred to as Bhang, was used as a medicine for generations. Over time Bhang’s status in the country got restricted to an addictive drug and this negative aspect shadowed its infinite potential. This is why AyurYog is bringing together minds from all over the globe to ignite conversations on the wider meaning and use of Hemp. This conclave aims to educate Indians and connect them back to their heritage.
