Common first questions
Answers to keep you moving.
Where should I start if I know nothing about cannabis?
Begin with the four foundation cards near the top. Start with Cannabis, then follow Hemp and CBD & THC if those are the questions you have.
What is the difference between cannabis and hemp?
Hemp is a term used for particular cannabis varieties and products, especially fibre and seed uses. Definitions in law depend on place and can change.
Are CBD and THC the same thing?
No. They are different cannabinoids. THC is associated with intoxication; CBD is not generally intoxicating in the same way. Read the CBD & THC overview for more context.
Is hemp seed oil the same as CBD oil?
No. Hemp seed oil is pressed from seeds. CBD oil is formulated to contain cannabidiol. Always check the ingredients of a specific product.
How can I find articles on one subject?
Use the topic map to open a focused blog category. Each category archive lists the published articles under that subject.
Do newer articles replace the older explainers?
Not automatically. Older guides can introduce a topic, while newer reporting may reflect changes in research or policy. Check dates and follow the sources.
Where can I read about medical and Ayurvedic cannabis?
Start with the Ayurvedic cannabis topic, then use the reference desk for external evidence. Personal treatment questions belong with a qualified clinician.
Where are the cannabis books?
The Books category exists, but there are no titles listed yet. The Books section on this page links to the category for future additions.
